A Warning !
For me is new, for many of you is not.

Winamp updates from 5.32 to 5.52.
This is ok because they install a new plug in AACCPlus.
This plug in is very good for sound and save lots of bandwidth but I will be back to this other time.

The changes made by this new update, I was not aware as I didn't be inform but the sound quality of the radio degree .
Maybe many of you notice the sound quality of Trance Moon at some point (after winamp updates) was worse.

I didn't notice this till I make the updates just some days ago.
(I don't like updates, they all come to change what you have set up before)

In this case what happen is:

On winamp 5.32 I listen my stream at 96kbps 44100khz.

After the update to winamp 5.52 the stream come to be at 96kbps 22khz.

I get back to the old version of winamp (5.32) and my broadcast come back to 96kbps 44100khz.

I download this last version of winamp in a friends computer and the same happen !

After I been for 2 days reading forums, I did not found nothing about this.

Today I re-install winamp 5.52 again and make various experiences, one of them was ...

1- have 1 encoder playing in web server.

2-have other encoder broadcasting direct from my machine.

The results are:

1- encoder from the server was play at 96kbps 44100khz

2- encoder broadcast direct in sam was at 96kbps 2200khz.

Every thing was checked and all the settings was fine.

I usual broadcast in sam with my encoders in mp3Pro 96kbps 44100khz,

so I decide to get the encoder direct broadcast in normal mp3 96kbps 44100khz and voile...

They are now broadcasting direct at 96kbps 44100khz.

Whats the problem ?

Winamp don't support Thomas limiter mp3Pro plug in anymore !
This is a really Important plug in for god Quality sound in sam program.
I get back to normal mp3 encoder but I can listen the difference.always ,its better than before !
How they make something like this and don't inform the Broadcasters !!??


Anyway, the new thing have to be the AACCPlus plug in and we all have to accept the orders of the masters.

This means I have to install a more new version of Sam Broadcast Program for I be able to broadcast in AACCPlus because sam2 don't recognize this new plug in.
(People that broadcast true winamp player don't have this problem) But to me winamp is never a stable program for broadcast.

Mean time, please get use to that because change will happen everywhere.
